Bio

Since September 2008 I am serving clients as Innovate|2|market. Innovate|2|market helps organizations identify and create opportunities for their products, services, and technologies, as well as improve their innovation, consumer insights, new product development, and marketing results by bringing customers and users at the heart of their process (consumer insights process innovation).

Until August 2008 I was a consultant at
Touch360, an innovation and strategic design firm which I co-founded in April 2006. Touch360 identifies market differentiation and innovation opportunities by gaining deep insights to consumers, markets, trends, and everything that determines product success (design for experience approach). I've led and conducted, hands-on, market and user research research, and managed innovation and design projects such as: designing a habit-changing green product for Chinese consumers for a global environment organization, identifying and evaluating commercial market opportunities for the technologies of a US defense R&D company, innovating with a new consumer product (personal item/accessories category).  As a Partner with Touch360 I've been responsible for marketing, communications, and all aspects of company management, operations, strategy and tactics, including partnerships and business development.

Prior to that I was Director Strategy and Business Development with
Bresslergroup, a well established full service product development consulting firm. Recruited by Peter Bressler, Founder and CEO, I managed client projects from research and planning through engineering (consumer medical, automotive, and personal care categories). I analyzed the firm's strengths and weaknesses, then developed and implemented new marketing and communication strategies. I recommended, implemented and managed a partnership with the University of Pennsylvania's Weiss Tech House innovation center. I worked as a team with other Directors and participated in talent recruiting, Internet strategy, and review of internal/external key deliverable.

As a member of the founding executive team of Global Market Insite Inc., a leading provider of solutions (SaaS) and services for global market research, I played a key role in the global success of the company, first as Director Europe and then VP Business Development. I launched B2B and B2C products and services in Europe Middle East Africa and built the company's key revenue center. I held European development and global product marketing responsibility for the GlobalTestMarket.com online consumer panel. I championed and managed various product development Joint Ventures. I developed the highly successful global Partnership program (partners in 40 countries in two years). I also made key contributions to business planning, legal, fund raising, alliances, and contracting that helped GMI grow from 5 to 50 employees in the Americas, Europe, and Asia.

Prior to joining GMI, I was founder and President of Business Development International, a Washington DC-based firm providing advisory, consulting, and implementation services in market and competitive research, as well as marketing, communication, and sales to US and foreign clients. I specialized in high-tech, scientific, defense, and dual use industries and technologies, and federal government and agencies markets.

My career in business started with McKinsey in Paris where I was the Executive Assistant to the Principal heading the Financial Institutions Group, and KPMG's Policy Economics Group in Washington D.C. where I participated in the privatization of Eastern European, Latin American and Asian companies (USAID contracts) as an Analyst.

Volunteering

I am committed to the professional education and training mission of the Product Development and Management Association, a volunteer-driven organization with 3,500 members worldwide.

In January 2008 I was nominated President of the
Carolinas chapter, a community of 400+ members and 12+ volunteers. I've reset priorities: put together a stronger Board and Officers' team, and created 3 local Committees to better serve the community throughout North and South Carolina and build brand awareness. I've transitionned the chapter team to a new IT platform. We've multiplied the number of events and attendees by 2X. Together with my team we're implementing best practices such as Voice of the Customer. We've renewed with chapter profitability. 2009 objectives include social media strategy and use of online communities.

From 2005 to 2008 I was a member of PDMA's Annual International Conference Team
